Evolution is one of the biggest scams EVER. We were created as humans, vastly distinct from animals, and with dominion over the earth. TPTB are trying to place us on the same level as insects, which we are, in their eyes. Harari reckons the Elite (what a repugnant term);are like gods, more creative than the actual Creator, and that they are improving on His creation. It is so risible that I can't help laughing. The created greater than the Creator? Their creation (transhumanism) better than the Creator's blueprint? They have put themselves in direct conflict with God. Their hubris is astonishing.

This troll on your site continues to annoy me by sending a reply and spamming my inbox. Now, whatever it is, is using a different name - Jessica.

I've already reported this spammer 2 or 3 times. There are 2 of those posts on this page alone. If this troll doesn't disappear, I'm going to have to unsubscribe. I have better ways to spend my time.

I feel deeply that you are right. check out https://www.discovery.org/about/mission/

For sure the theory of "Intelligent Design" is a better explanation of who we are and why we are here....hope this helps you

Keep on laughing

It's not happy laughter unfortunately. Not much to laugh at nowadays. What they are doing is diabolical. But it is an incredulous reaction to their conceit and their complete and utter lack of knowledge of God. The earth is symbolically described as His footstool. That alone puts things into context.

Yes, we will - a % anyway -survive hyper-novelty and even thrive. The story is cosmic in size, and the changes impossible to really imagine for us and the planet.

I'm incredibly optimistic. Post chaos, a much better, freer planet. Thank you.

I’m not to sure that Brett Weinstein is such a scion of virtue as it relates to a wide variety of topics. Though I find him interesting one should not forget that he was on the mRNA bandwagon when it first rolled out. Only when it became widely apparent that the technology was a bust did he change his tune. Quite frankly a quick bit of research demonstrated how mRNA has never worked… but I digress. My point is anything with his name attached to it is defacto suspect. Proceed with caution. Pax

....how would hairlessness represent an evolutionary advantage? This interesting question is being posed from a position of doubting the veracity of the evolutionary model. Evolution is a fundamental building block for contemporary science. It is considered ridiculous to question evolution, although it has the status of a theory, which means that it is not proven beyond doubt. This fact alone makes it a dogma by nature. Interestingly, when the theory of evolution muscled into prominence, it eclipsed a long philosophical and cosmological enquiry that spanned many centuries, in which various proposals on the origin of species had been presented, considered, perfected, disputed, and sometimes rejected. The Platonic, Neo-Platonic, Aristotelian, and Stoic philosophical traditions all offered solutions to the riddle. In medieval Europe, scholars had settled on a view that individual beings were composed of a material form that is imbued with an immaterial and eternal form. The presence of the Soul, as an intermediary between these two forms, in all species, not only humans, was an essential component for this rendering.

In fact, if we step outside of the echo chamber of European scholarship, and consider what the majority of humanity was thinking, the theory of evolution had no place in the ancient or indigenous cosmologies. Wherever you seek, from Mesopotamia, to Mesoamerica, from Aboriginal Australia to the Ancient world of the Subcontinent, there has always been a creator, and it would make no sense to consider Creation without the source, which could be named or nameless, but which is the originator of all things, from a neutrino to an planet, a bacterium to a crustacean.

If we are determined to keep the concept of the Creator out of the discussion, we must accept the potholed theory of evolution. It is our call. Each one of us must decide for ourselves. There is no scientific certainty on this.

"THE POTHOLED THEORY OF EVOLUTION!!" --GREAt description and yes it is very "potholed" . This theory(evolution) explains very little about actual humanity and our lives as they are lived now. Where did we come from? Who--if anyone--made us?

These are still great mysteries and generally each person must answer by looking into the depths of what used to be called their "souls"....I hope I have one. I'd like to believe that I do....

You have touched a collective nerve. The established academies where true knowledge is supposed to reside, have relegated the Soul to the level of subjective fantasy, tolerated like the childhood belief in Santa Claus. People who "believe" they have a Soul experience polite derision from the cognoscenti. But when push comes to shove, Soul bearers cannot be taken seriously, because the current paradigm cannot accommodate something as mystical and non-rational. But according to ancient wisdom, not only do you have a Soul, but you ARE your Soul! The mind is not really the boss, it only thinks it is!

RE "....how would hairlessness represent an evolutionary advantage?" It is an evolutionary advantage for the mammals that left the land to live in the sea: whales, seals, etc, (which have different degrees of hairlessness). An out-of-favour theory is that humans made a half-hearted attempt to 'return' to the sea but stopped half-way and came back. It is described in The Descent of Woman by Elaine Morgan (approx. 1970s).

Warning: Somebody is all over these forums, posting SPAM in the form of directing you to some Google site, with lines such as "They are keeping this a secret", "This has been kept from you" and "They hid this from you". It uses names, Lisa, Dara, Kara and others. Is it that difficult for the mods to block this entity?

This discussion should be interesting. David Icke's theories, which seemed preposterous to me pre 2020, now make a lot more sense. It would be interesting to get him and Brett Weinstein together. DNA is much more fluid than we imagined. And who knows what all has been slotted into ours and by whom over the ages? I realise we know almost nothing about anything. What we were taught at veterinary school in the 80's is so narrow it's almost laughable.

I know what you mean about D. Icke, Carol....I felt the same way, but then I started researching stuff going on at Bohemian Grove and on to "child trafficking" and the elite control of information and I realized that Icke is what is known as an "early adaptor". His stuff seems kinda tame now....But I still don't buy the ET business....anyway not sure he supported that nonsense...area 51 seems more like more gov. mind control sheish....but friends who are very mundane and not "woo woo" at all saw a gigantic 'space ship' fly right over their house in the country. They don't talk about it anymore....but at the time, they were stunned. As the bard has said "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio than are dreamt of in your philosophy". In my view all this makes life still interesting. Too much David Icke, however is just plain icky.

Dear Tess, it would be better to invite a true yogi, an awakened being to tell you about the subject of evolution or consciousness. What can a man, no matter how brilliant in his field, who is still bound to the material realm, can teach us about something that lies outside this realm? When will humanity realize that by the time anything is manifested in this visible world, it is already too late? It all needs to change at thought level. True evolution is when man is incapable of hurting another being, when he experiences all life as his very Self.

"Has this all happened before?"

Considering that modern humans have been around something like 200,000 years it does make me wonder what they were doing in all that time before the start of 'civilisation', about 10,000 years ago. They were not technically advanced as archaeology shows (although there are some anomalies), but maybe they had other strengths/knowledge that is now lost (or hidden.)

How true. Some of the people in the retirement center where I live become viscerally angry when I politely suggest alternatives to the "deadly pandemic" scam. People who took the vax are scared now and do not want to hear they are at risk for a host of ill health and possibly death. I can sympathize.... but luckily I had listened to Dr Sucharit Bhakdi at the very beginning of this madness (CORONA FALSE ALARM) and refused every injection offered. How grateful I am to Bhakdi and his wife Karina....and DOCTORS4COVIDETHICS. Everyone who is aware of this scam must stand up and get mad RESIST resist resist!!!!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3qFu_QdLCg&list=PL28AZQfwmoyMiDnf5GU0NFvIcmwrtx4Zz&index=20

Tess, I don't understand the comment that we would perish at 20 deg celcius in the shade? Does it not depend who you are talking about? My dark skinned friends whom I work with in Nature in Africa in much hotter temperatures would find that a doddle. Even I, a light skinned European descendant would manage it I think. The Naro people in the Kalahari, some of the last true San people, do so anyway, wearing just a few skins. But I agree, most of us, including myself, have become soft.

As far as I know, the most popular theory regarding hairlessnes is that it aided perspiration. It is believed this part of evolution took part in a savannahs environment with little tree cover. Early humans were possibly endurance hunters, tracking down animals over very long time. Most mammals regulate their temperature by panting. We sweat, lack of hair helps evaporation and this makes it a very efficient way of cooling down. Bushman in the south of Afrika still hunt in this way.

Is it possible that 'hairlessness' evolved alongside other advantageous DNA? In other words, hairlessness could just be a bothersome byproduct?

Thank you for your excellent work.

I have been thinking about us humans and our current situation as dissolute beings. The escalation over the last 50 odd years to the precipice we now stand on. Where do we go from here … and how do we reverse the trend towards our inevitable extinction in favour of AI. Not a happy place to be but I hope and trust that a solution will arise. Many many thanks

life on earth for the human race has always been precarious. We have experienced many "dark ages"...perhaps including polar reversals as suggested by Emanuel Velikovsky(sp?) and others ---Edgar Cayce etc. These are not your standard academicians by any means....but far more interesting IMHO....even disregarding these outliers....just reading the "accepted" history of humanity brings all kinds of bizarre, extreme and unthinkable occurrences. And we are in one such event right now. Thus major shifts in politics, belief systems and financial arrangements. For those of us who grew up in the staid '50's ....it all buggers belief. But then....MY generation survived psycedelics, rock & roll and the likes of Stephen Gaskin Timothy Leary and others. Well...I should qualify that statement....some of us did, anyway. ..At this point in my life --I want to go on living because I can't wait to see WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!!
