Skepticism is understandable. I am a skeptic on many things too.
My human being radar isn’t pinging with him--he seems authentic. But anything is possible.
I think it’s important for us to remember that we all perceive and understand things based on what we bring to the table, and the experiences that make us who we are. We are all unique--strengths and weaknesses, all at once. I’m willing to give him respect for taking this position, even if it is later than we might like.
Nah. I would have loved to do this too. Play along nice and safe and then only raise the alarm after I myself have set fire to the building and ignored the dissenters. Absolutely no compassion from me, this guy does not deserve understanding and our generosity. IMAGINE how different the conversation would have been if this was happening in September 2021! But no, he waited for lockdowns to finish, the mask mandates to stop, all restrictions to be lifted, the vaccine injured to be SO MANY and the general tone of the conversation to change (nobody I know wants a boostie) and THEN to emerge from the shadows like a hero. Who needs heroes like that??
