Wonderful to listen to your story Robito this Sunday afternoon, and a timely reminder to turn the projectors inside rather than out. How I would love to watch the sea for three months from a hammock!! Like Tess, I have also found that, these days, I feel the most peaceful when I'm in aligned action, and "on purpose". Mindfulness, TM, techniques from Buddhist courses on meditation, all the reading about meditation, listening to the spiritual masters like Mother Amma, the wise ones, it still remains intellectual and theoretical until you do it right here, right now! All the Masters have told us to meditate. All of them. Including Jesus. Your talk now is an invitation to let go of all the theory and just be in the present moment. After I finish writing this piece, that's exactly what i'll do. One of the meditations I like is the bee meditation. Watching bees on flowers. For people who have a hard time with their thoughts, or a lot of trauma, Anthony William has some beautiful meditations on fruit-picking, flying free as a bird, or the brain meditation for letting go of fear which, in my opinion, literally repairs the fragmented soul. https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/brain-meditation . Bless you and Bless Tess for being there at this time. We so need this guidance and hopefulness.

Hypnotherapy involves someone else controlling one's mind. Whatever the seeming immediate benefit it leaves one wide open to other spiritual forces. Don't get involved, you'll only rue the day at some point. Sorry to pour cold water on the topic but it really is not safe. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12) instead.

Depression and suicidal ideation can be, and probably are (unless someone is taking the psychiatric poisons), caused by industrial chemicals.

I'll post about them later today.

I hit the send button in error. The price is for an annual sub. I have no financial or any other benefit in recommending the meditation app. Thank you Robito I will check out your recommendations.

You can edit your posts on Substack. The "edit" option is in the three little dots. 🙂

Tess you are a wonder woman. I so admire your tenacity and honesty. The world is indebted to you. I have meditated for around 50 years. I have read several books, done a course, had hypnotherapy. I am a believer. Robito gave an excellent simple description of meditation and hypnotherapy. It’s such a pity that these have yet to make it to mainstream. There are so many benefits to be had. I have discovered an app that teaches meditation very simply and effectively. There’s a huge selection of teachers and subjects in the app. I have fallen in love with the originator of the app and use her exclusively to address the various issues that arise in life. The name of the app is Breethe, the teacher is Lynne Goldberg and her Learn to Meditate program is spread over 12 weeks of daily, 15 minute meditation skills. The price is only US$89
