Do I need iodine if I don't have a thyroid?

Another good article, thank you. I am going to start adding some oral iodine to increase metabolism functions. I discovered a very good way to use the nasal spray that I have been using for the last 2 years with no hint of a sniffle. I spray 2 blasts of 1% iodine in each nostril and then let the sterilizing and astringent effects operate for 5 minutes. I then follow up the iodine with a couple of sprays of Xlear spray ,a very good otc product w xylitol and grapfruit seed extract which is very lubricating. The Xlear spray does a great job on keeping nasal passages clear and moist. This way you get the benefits of both products and it eliminates the sting and dryness from the iodine.

"My name is Dr. Sarah Myhill"

Bullfrog! "My name is Sarah Myhill and my title is "Dr."". Or, simpler: "I am Dr. Sarah Myhill"...

As for me, I am Dr. Hubris... from now on :P!

I started supplementing w 2% Lugol's 8 months ago and take 8 drops daily. Huge improvements to: skin, nails, no breast tenderness, used to have polycystic breast disease - huge improvement to breast tissue , deeper sleep. One caution, start low and slow. 1/4 drop and increase amount every 3 days - can actually get a cold or flu symptoms if one starts even with 1 drop/day.
