Today few may know Karen-Ruth Skölmli, but one day many will. For it is Ruth’s firm and gentle guidance on matters related to sovereignty that has informed World Council for Health over the past two years, and which underpins our mission to empower people around the world towards self-determination.
After winning the battle against cancer for a period, allowing time to share her wisdom, dear Ruth passed on this week. Trained in law and common law, Ruth found her way to the World Council for Health in early 2022 when we informally advertised the position of a part-time legal secretary. Her gentle character, intuition and fiery righteousness was much appreciated by the team and she quickly became a dear friend to so many of us. Ruth didn’t just speak about sovereignty, she embodied it. It was Ruth who helped us recognise that health and sovereignty go hand in hand.
A humanitarian to the core, Ruth’s sense of right and wrong helped us navigate through difficult waters and reach safe shores. Whenever we had a question about lawful matters, she was always there, lifting us out of the quagmire of legalese designed to entrap us, and reminding us that the law is in fact beautifully simple and, indeed, intuitive. I know she did this for countless people, dedicating herself to helping others understand their inalienable rights and set themselves free.
You may know her from the Better Way Conference, where she spoke so eloquently last year in the panel entitled “From thought control to free thought” (see timestamp 1:28). She also joined me for a Tess Talks and you can also watch her wonderful conversation with Richard Vobes here.
In an act of characteristic generosity, Ruth also created a course for people to learn about their sovereignty, step by step. It’s available on her website and freely given. I warmly encourage all to take a look, and share widely.
Ruth will be missed by so many. In her passing, she leaves a mighty legacy for the benefit of all humanity. Thank you, Ruth. Safe travels, our dear friend.
BEAUTIFUL tribute to your WONDERFUL Friend. VERY SORRY....
