Dr Lawrie thank you for your courage and integrity during the darkness. I think one of the next big issues facing us are the lies and corruption of our food supply and nutritional guideline, the influence of Big Food and the insidious plan to demonise meat and the links of course to climate change misinformation. Another brave SAn Prof Tim Noakes is just one of many examples of the vendettas that are waged in this arena. Gary Fettke is an Australian example. I hope your research will extend to this vital area.

I use erythrytol to sweeten my tea and coffee. It's perfect. In any case, reduce your carbs and you will feel better. Too many carbs serve only to feed sickness (mostly inflammation). Don't eat out of boredom!

Thank you for the great recipes!

Thank you Tess and Monique,

I do feel this is the tip of the iceberg and the real epidemic.

Please consider asking Dr Sarah Myhill for a talk to share her 40yrs of treating health.

Thanks Rich

Thanks for recipes! I use similar to the first one daily. I don’t care for stevia, seems to bother my leaky ( but healing) gut. Gluten free for 20 years.

Monique, have you tried Better Stevia? Not as much of an aftertaste. I grow my own plants and found that if grown in mostly compost, less sweet and less aftertaste. As for gluten- for almost forty years, I had to limit my intake of flour or my face would break out in a rash. But, five years ago I started using organic flours and no more rashes. In moderation!

How right is Tess about learning from the experiences of others? I'm a fan of American singer & piano player Ray Charles generally considered one other the greatest of all time.....In an interview I once saw he said when he went blind at I think about 5 yrs old, his mother refused had to help him....she told him "you have to learn how to look after yourself". From this apparently very harsh situation he ultimately became one of the greatest Artists ever. He also said something in this interview which I think is noteworthy for others here, he said "You can learn to live with anything". I've tried to practice this & I think it's true. Cheers all.

There was a time I drank a lot of stevia flavored cocoa milk drinks in Israel (like 1 litter a day), but after a while I had a feeling I have just too much stevia in my body.

The comparison with heroin is not really fair, since the pathways are very different. While sugars are very much physiological (in normal doses), heroin is something that rather is not normal in the body. Also, there is set of behavior (like lack of sleep, lack of meaning in the world, lack of social interaction) that are generally addictive.
