I must be the only person on the planet who does not have a smartphone. Just a landline for when I am home, and a flip phone in case I have car trouble when I am out. No GPS in the car so I have to depend on paper maps.

I spend way too much time on the internet when I am home. No longer have a television, so I depend on my laptop for streaming and reading alternative and independent media.

But, I do not want to be that person who carries a smartphone permanently attached to their hand like it is some medical support device. I see mothers and fathers more interested in their phones than what their young children are doing. I see drivers who are super distracted and it scares the crap out of me. Notice how the light turns green and the car in front doesn't proceed right away? 99% chance it is phone related.

What everyone should be worried about is the tracking of your whereabouts that is done with your smartphone. The FBI used geofencing to round up all phone numbers and locations at the US Capitol on January 6.

The CCP uses a person's smartphone as the boot on the neck. No freedom.

Ditto. Ditched it in 2020 having researched the biological harms from EMFs and wireless RFs specifically for 4 years prior following various wake up calls with physical effects from the 'smart'phone (I always use '' because it's not smart!). When the notion of Track & Trace started to be talked about, that was enough for me to see where this was going and stop completely. I stopped my contract finally 2021 so I'm no longer funding those pushing this agenda and obfuscating the harms to people and planet.

If someone absolutely needs to have a smartphone, they should always carry it in a Farady cage and only remove it when necessary.

I don't think people realize how insidious the tracking system is with a smartphone. Warn everyone to just look at China and how it deprives people of freedom.

I have a landline only. Haven't had a cell phone for 8 years now.

A few years ago, an acquaintance who made a fortune at Apple and retired early to enjoy his tens of millions, heard that I chose not to have a cell phone. He asked me "why not?" one day. I replied that I am retired and that I have no desire to be at anyone's beck and call or to be tracked in real time. He simply smiled and walked away.

How bout something called privacy! If I wanted to be disturbed I would let you know! Back in the day no one ever called before 9am or after 9pm and especially never during dinner!

I also don't have a smartphone. Not connected, that is, although two friends have given me their old ones, which remain in a drawer. Once or twice a year, when late, or lost, I notice the lack, but otherwise don't think about it. The excellent cameras they have are their most attractive feature, although the pocket camera I have has a voice recorder that has been handy when I forget to pack a notebook. I still write things with a pen.

No wifi in the house. Just ethernet cables. No TV either.

Internet service is "improving constantly" in my rural area, and new towers are everywhere. Earlier this year my ISP replaced the device on my roof. Without thinking, I agreed to the spot the installer suggested. Without thinking, that is, that the little thingy outside was about 15 feet from my own feet in bed while sleeping. Which I still didn't think about until about a month later when, morning after morning my feet were numb. Not completely without feeling, but noticeably dulled. I started unplugging the device last thing at night, and my feet recovered within a day or two.

here is another one. I had to buy a smart phone 2 years ago when the phone co. accidentally cut my line and I could not reach my overseas family. But most of the time it is off and I hardly ever take it, unless I am in places where houses are scarce. Hate the thing with a passion.

Yes, I am weening off mine as well. I doubt I'll ever go 100% but we'll see. I have a landline. I'm using a paper calendar. We put a timer on our WiFi. It turns off automatically at night from 11pm until 7am I would like to hardwire the computers but haven't yet.

We took a screen-free vacation once. Kids were only allowed tablets in airplane and car rides that would be at least 1 hour. My husband and I checked our messages and email once a day briefly at night after kids asleep. We did use texting while at amusement parks, but we turned off data.

We were amazed at how our heads cleared up and we were more focused. The kids played a lot of chess and hide and seek and they were much more pleasant because they weren't nagging all day for tablets as they understood it was not an option.

My problem is that since Covid happened I'm addicted to the Counter-narrative. I want to know how it ends! And part of it is PTSD. I almost fell for the MSM narrative in 2020/2021. Now I feel it's a survival instinct that I must remain connected. Afraid to let go and fall for the next hoax!

But we are making small changes...bit by bit.

Thank you, this is a subject I’ve started to explore with more intent due to the deterioration of my eyesight the more I subject them to phone and laptop screens. I’ve purposely started using bilberry and high dose Vitamin A & C supplements and the AREDS formula as an insurance policy. I’ve noticed an improvement quite quickly. Ideally though I’d cut my screen use in half at a minimum. COVID and the looming NWO have all got in the way.

Thank you Tess & Kathleen, so much good information and all in simple language that anyone can understand.

I lost my phone whilst in hospital earlier this year and have managed very well without it, the only downside was that I had stored all my contacts' phone numbers in it so lost them, too. However, most of them found and contacted me so I now know who are the ones I need in my life! People keep asking me when I will get a new phone and my answer is always, never. I don't miss it, I use my land line if I need to talk and I have a laptop for internet purposes, which I probably need to use less to be honest. Neither do I have a TV as I was fed up with all the misinformation and propaganda that it kept spitting out.

I worry about phones being used as an instrument to track & control you, and seeing peoples' noses stuck constantly to their phones makes me feel so sad that they are missing out on all the beautiful things around them in our natural world.

I have a Safe n Sound meter too from Safe Living Technology, Rob is amazing! I take it with me when I travel too, to be sure my hotel room isn't in the "extreme range". My house is all hard wired and has about a dozen ethernet outlets throughout. My now university aged girls are very used to using their laptops with ethernet adapters when at home. They also have ethernet adapters for their iphones and use them "hard-wired" as well when at home. My wifi router is turned on and off (via its IP address) through the hard-wired laptops so when wifi is needed it is easily turned on and when the wifi isn't needed it is easily shut off -- but the ethernet portals provide hard-wired internet throughout the house 24/7. I can move my laptop room to room and just plug in to the ethernet outlets everywhere in the house including the kitchen to watch webinars while cooking. While at home I use face-book messenger to stay in touch with my girls around the clock while they are at university or away from home as that goes to their phone but on my end, I am on my hard-wired computer. We have a cell phone for texting but that stays on airplane mode most of the time but it is taken with us when we leave the house. I believe the man-made frequencies from phone/computers/cell towers etc. impact every living cell -- whether one can notice it or not and it presents itself in people in different ways. My hope and prayer is that more people will come to realize this and our world will find safer ways to use technology and make efforts to reduce the levels of EMF's that people are exposed to. 5G of course should never happen anywhere, ever. Thank you Dr. Lawrie for posting this article. I see honesty and goodness in you. I see someone who truly cares for humanity. God bless you (from Canada)!

Thank you Dr Lawrie and Ms Burke. All good points, and so true. And, as I'm sure you know, there's a whole host of other reasons to lose our mobile phones. Namely, at least for now, that they are the lynch pin to digital surveillance and the digital prisons being built up around us.

I have started down a path similar to yours. I no longer carry my phone with me anywhere. I find this extremely liberating. However, I have not yet managed to lose it completely. This is mainly, because, by design, we are all increasingly chained to 2-factor authentification to do basic things, including everyday purchases or even to access our own money.

I happen to be a tech entrepreneur with a small software company. Through that, I believe I have found a back door way around this problem for myself. Unfortunately, it's not a solution that would readily work for others in its current form. While I have searched and could not find a good virtual texting service that allows people to conveniently circumvent mobile-based 2-factor authentification using their computers, my sense is that such a service must surely exist. If you or any of your readers know of any, I'm sure many of us would love to hear about them. On the other hand, if not, then there's a surely big niche there for someone to make hay out of and hopefully somebody will soon.

Thank you for everything!

Inspiring -- though if she cancels her phone service she can turn off the antennas in the phone's Settings and still use what's on her phone without radiating herself: the camera, the clock, the alarms and anything else she's downloaded will still be there to enjoy.

There is a great humanitarian and environmental toll to mine the many minerals that went into making that cell phone, no sense in not using it for its full useful life, even if just as a dummy terminal with a good camera in it.

Additionally, you can buy little Ethernet adapters and hook a cell phone up to the internet just like you would a computer. Then turn off each antenna (cellular/data, Bluetooth, wi-fi, hotspot, locator, etc.) and you have safe technology, a much faster signal, and a much more reliable connection.

I have been worried about phones, emfs etc for a long time!!! What concerns me most is the children!!! How do we help our children, our teenagers??!! I know I’m not alone when I talk about the struggles of trying to teach my teenage kids about the dangers of screen addiction, social media dangers, not to mention EMF’s, cancer etc (they won’t allow me to even go there!!).

What can we do? I honestly searching for help….for answers!!! How do we get through to them as we watch them get sucked into a virtual world while trying to pull them back out again.

I never gave my young children screens until at the tender age of YR 6 (10/11 yrs old) it was compulsory for them to have an iPad for school!!! That changed everything in their worlds!!! Their creativity took a very clear nose dive, never to be retrieved again (I find this devastating!!). Although they still engage in sport, their appetite for it dwindled….they would far rather be ‘in’ their iPads/laptop/phone. It became a constant battle….one I still enter each time they’re at home. It’s a fine balance….you want them to want to be at home so pestering them to put their screens down does not appeal to them. There are many occasions I give up……

I love this idea....as I type this on my ipad :) For a long time now, I have been leaving my phone at home whenever I go out to run errands. If I must take it with me, I often leave it in my car. My handbag is lighter and easier to carry for long periods of time. I don’t know much about EMF radiation. I just know that I don’t like being so attached to the device and I’m offended when I meet someone for lunch (or whatever) and the first thing they do is take out their phone. There are some things that are super convenient about a smart phone, but all-in-all, I’m mostly done with it. Thank you, Tess, for this post.

I have had the exact same feeling at work about wanting to run away from my computer. I have started to actually hate it! Headache every day and generally feeling depleted after about an hour and it continues through the day. At first I thought it was the ventilation, so I always had the window open, but no difference. I finally realized what it was. Wireless connection to my computer, my cell phone and my work cell phone. I turn as much off as possible, as often as possible and don’t keep the phones on my person. Also use a regular headset. When I get home I don’t want to use any electronics, just the thought makes me feel sick.

This is an important subject that deserves more attention. Thank you Tess and Kathleen.

We basically leave the cellular function off 95% of the time. this allows 3G, which phone calls to come through, but no cellular service and no wifi ever enabled. We several different meters for measuring emf levels. the wifi meter is usually low throughout the house, despite neighbors wifi. of course when friends come over, the meter shoots up, but mostly low radio frequency. It was much harder to bring down the ac ambient levels in the house, that involves turning off a number of circuits at night, via a special device installed. the fridge stays on and the heat, but not the bedrooms' electricity. all done through measuring levels. The most difficult and most expensive was finding a way to bring down the transient spike that come through the wires via the neighbor's solar panel inverters. these are sent through wires from the neighbor's house to the transformer for all the houses on our block and then sent as carrier spike coupled with the electricity from the transformer. that required a special device, several thousand $ to install. done in 2018. the difference is palpable. the process was a lot of work. also sent several letters to the electric company to prevent being forced to get a smart meter. (which, by the way, not only increase the electric bill, not only allow the company to collect data on the customer's usage, but also because they are not made with the highest standards are much more prone to causing the house to burn down. check out various images of fires where the houses are burned to ground, but nearby trees are left standing. this is because of the malfunctioning of the smart meters sending electric pulses in the case of a fire making the house fire worse.

Tess, you are so right! My hand tingles horribly, right into the bones, when I hold my phone too long. I am very sensitive.

It saddens me so much to see my friends' 4 year old addicted, holding the damn thing on her belly while watching it and the TV simultaneously! For hours on end. The whole family. This when the sun is shining and it is absolutely glorious with flowers, soft grass and birds outside. The child screams blue murder if anything gets turned off. No-one seems too bothered when one explains the dangers. Mom just put a cushion between the phone and her belly!

Personally I love detoxing though. I have always loathed social media. However I spend part of my life working in the UK as a veterinarian and part in South Africa on a Nature reserve with no network. When in the veterinary hospitals I am absolutely bombarded with wifi day and night. Not much I can do about it. You may as well be talking to a wall. So the bush is where I detox. I have been in two minds , balancing health against convenience and recently went quite far down the line to get cell towers installed. Then I heard it was 5G and I cancelled the whole deal. It's part of the globalist control grid , so there are good reasons to resist. Our satellite and cable is not as convenient but I know I have made the right decision. Actually network free places are becoming a sought after luxury!

hello,

Congratulations on your break up ! You''ll readapt and enjoy your life, for goodness sakes !!

A friend sent me your post, probably because the only time I ever use a cell (pun intended) is when traveling long distances. I have lost 2 friends to "acoustic neuromas" that curiously went on to numb side of ph.use and hearing loss before finding cancer inother parts (lungs, brain...) before their deaths. 2 other friends who had these removed and forever walked"drunk"..seems the results are shown on what part of the brain the neuromas appear.

I am sensitive to EMF's, fleuroscent lights, and feel the buzz in lots of places... I sleep with head at the "foot"on my bed because so much going on in the walls, which I feel. ! I also wear a crystal catalyst bead from folks (dowsers) in Globe Az...have for 20 yrs...it helps but seems the radiation is getting stronger... 5 G? Fist began reading/hearing about these issues in a book by Dr. George Carlo, who was hired by Nokia, I believe, to do safety research. .. when he found concerns and share the info. they fired him. So, with me being the "canary in the coal mine" and loosing my best friend, I just never joined the club...am mostly a "happy dinosaur" ..."leave me a message, and I'll call you back" works for me ! I am never interupted when out to eat with friends, (except when their phone rings) I Guess I mostly, just enjoy not being interrupted.. I laugh and say "I'm not THAT important" Lately, people often seem envious of me not using one !...and I'm not really one to fear "emergencies".. it already happened !!! So, breaking up with one may be hard but feel it's the only human thing to do..for us, the animals, nature, the planet and I'd even say the entire solar system !!! Convienence is not Cheap !!!!! I just returned from a trip..used the ph. 2 x's to check messages on landline and 1 x to check in with my sister...We ARE Energy and it's messing with everyone and everything!!! Also, none to "listen in or know my every move" or what sz. underwear I just ordered... etc. etc. It's such a refreshing version of sanity... except now we're all swimming in this stuff, whether we know it or not ! Yes, hard, like giving anything up at 1st, but important...think AA!

Thank you Tess...much needed info...of a topic far more dangerous than any pandemic.

I am so lucky, I'm retired, still have a sort of landline (Voice over internet) which comes via our cabled reception for internet (fibre optics? though I hear they're going to re-introduce copper wiring once again for internet?) VOI isn't very reliable, calls often don't ring.

My friends hate that I never take my 'smart' device with me, why must I allow myself to be trackable? No ways! I have been coerced into taking my old non smart Nokia, so I can be reached, and have only given the number to a select few. but that too gives off radiation, and I don't like it.

It's amazing that only 30 odd years ago people didn't panic if they couldn't be reached. Only one and a quarter generations ago.

Personally I don't like to be reached at any time of the day or night, it's an imposition. There are so few real emergencies generally, that this 'need' people have grown to have, is to my mind, purely neurotic...just what the purveyors of this industry desire. Were these purveyors to do some decent research, I'm sure they'd find a wavelength close to the Shuman Resonance (that is the planets EMF) which could be used and would actually be useful to, not destructive of all life...it's not surprising that 5+6G are nasty they were developed by the armed forces to be used in war...Are they at war against us??? Anyway until they find a better wavelength, we need to take as much action as each of us is capable...certainly sign the petition and spread the info for starters...There's also no harm in spreading the idea of better wavelengths for communication etc.

Kathleen Burke, I haven't heard your name before nor read anything like this article but I greatly admire your courage to plunge into this minefield. Thank you SO much.

I happen to be one of these rather private people who cringe at every mechanical sound invading my freedom to think my thoughts and listen to the sounds I love (birds, leaves, waves etc.) I have never even comtemplated owning a cell phone. Yet I do notice what's going on about me and almost daily I am flabbergasted at people holding on to a piece of plastic like a long-lost rosary and communicating with it as if it's their last hope of salvation. This craziness must stop before evolution kicks in and people start growing a third hand for keeping their fetish close (I would expect a third hand without an extra arm).
