Government literally means ‘mind control’
On how words deceive and why I’m calling for total anarchy
Life becomes exceedingly fascinating when one starts to question all that we have been taught to believe as fact. Following up on my growing realisation that words are used to manipulate and control us – ‘spelling’ used to cast ‘spells’, the term ‘conspiracy theory’ used to conceal conspiracy fact – I have recently discovered that the term ‘government’ is derived from the Latin gubernare (meaning control, guide or manipulate) and -ment (meaning mind). In other words, ‘government’ literally appears to mean ‘mind control’.
(Note that we don’t normally use Google, but in this instance it’s quite revealing).
Interesting, don’t you think? Let’s look at a few more definitions. (Bear with me, this is worth it I promise.)
The word ‘politician’ is derived from the Greek polites, meaning ‘citizen’, defined as a person owing loyalty to the state. The term ‘person’ applies to a human being, as well as non-human business entities in law. While the word ‘democracy’ means ‘people rule’, rule is not synonymous with government. Democracy does not mean that government rules, nor the state, nor even the citizens (or politicians). It does not mean one person rules, either. In a democracy, the people rule.
Which leaves me wondering, how did we get into a situation where governments rule over us instead of we, the common people, living according to the universal moral principle of ‘do no harm’?
Moreover, why do we need our minds controlled?
Perhaps the biggest question is this: How long have we been manipulated into believing that governments and politicians are there to serve us when by their very definitions this was never their intended purpose?
Thanks to author Feargus O’Connor, whose book can be found in the World Council for Health online shop, I now use the acronym THEY (The Hierarchy Exploiting You) for the overt and covert mind controllers of this world.
My sense is that what has been revealed by Covid-19 has been going on for a very, very long time (and many of you have long known this). THEY have to keep manipulating and controlling because THEY are afraid that if we live according to moral values, we will no longer be afraid.
This brings us to another question:
When people are not afraid of THEY, will there be anarchy?
Let’s look at the word ‘anarchy’ then, a word so deeply evocative of fear and chaos. ‘Anarchy’ is derived from the Greek anarchos, with an- meaning ‘without’ and -archos meaning ‘chief’ or ‘ruler’.
Hmm. ‘Without ruler’…
Defined as ‘the organization of society on the basis of voluntary cooperation, without political institutions or hierarchical government’, anarchy sounds like a concept that fits with the practice of democracy – people agreeing their own rules based on voluntary cooperation and sound, basic principles – perhaps like the Better Way Charter. In an anarchic society, the same rules apply to all – not one set of rules for you and me and another for a ruling class.
Sounds pretty neat to me!
Why is it then that the word ‘anarchy’ conjures up images of arson, murder and lawless madmen, not peaceful communities based on voluntary cooperation? Perhaps it’s because the meaning THEY propagate for anarchy is that of lawlessness and chaos.
One wonders, what could be more lawless than The Hierarchy Exploiting Us making the rules up as they go along and enforcing them with violence?
What could be more chaotic than a world where governments assume the right to mandate unsafe injections for everyone, restrict the movement of free men and women, violate the rights of parents and children, start wars that kill people, profit from deals that kill everything on the planet, and to use violence to force its unfair rules upon us, the common people?
Why do we allow government to have a monopoly on violence and other actions that are fundamentally immoral?
The Chinese Communist Party government is a ‘good’ example of governments’ licence to kill. In 1999, its ruler Jiang Zemin decided that the practice of Falun Gong was a threat to the Communist Party rule. In case you don’t know, Falun Gong is a self-improvement practice of mind, body and spirit following the principles of truthfulness, compassion and tolerance. Hundreds of millions of Chinese were practising Falun Gong in China at the time and health benefits were being noted and enjoyed widely, even by members of the CCP. Based on the ego of one man it seems, Falun Gong was declared a threat and those practising it were and still are systematically persecuted, tortured and worse. Western media have propagated CCP propaganda claiming that Falun Gong is a cult.
When a simple routine of 5 exercises aimed at improving health and wellbeing - which can be done by all ages and the least ‘fit’ among us - combined with the moral principles of truth, compassion and tolerance (the principles that Christ taught too) are considered subversive, we need to wake up.
Can you imagine a government seeking to undermine a philosophy of truth, compassion and tolerance in favour of a philosophy of fear? Can you imagine a government endorsing fines, threats, and imprisonment of people seeking to take control of their health?
Can you imagine saying ‘No more’ to such a government?
If you would like to know more about the context of this particular government-endorsed atrocity, I found this video by Chris Chappell made 8 years ago which may be of interest. And, if you do give Falun Gong a go, do feed back to the rest of us in the comments below and let us know what you think.
So, what might a society without our mind-controlling governments look like?
This is such a rich and exciting question for us all to ponder. And, to help us in this exploration, I’m delighted to introduce a guide who has already travelled down this road and has so much wisdom to share.
Derrick Broze is an activist, journalist, author and esteemed guest for this week’s Tess Talks. He’s dug deep into what the technocrats have planned for us, and has taken practical steps to disengage from the corrupt system that enslaves us. He shares some of these in our conversation, and so much more besides. I am so inspired by Derrick and I’m excited to be able to share our conversation with you. Stay tuned…

I, too, have inadvertently discovered I am an anarchist 😄 I don’t call myself that because I jettisoned all labels as part of my liberation from tribalistic, partisan thinking, but I find my values overlap with those of my fellow Nevermore Media (https://nevermore.media/) contributors, including Derrick.
In my second essay (https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/covid-is-over-if-you-want-it), I revealed Étienne de La Boétie’s anarchistic secret to overthrowing tyranny, and it remains an abiding theme in my work:
“You can deliver yourselves if you try, not by taking action, but merely by willing to be free. Resolve to serve no more, and you are at once freed. I do not ask that you place hands upon the tyrant to topple him over, but simply that you support him no longer; then you will behold him, like a great Colossus whose pedestal has been pulled away, fall of his own weight and break into pieces.”
Viva La Révolution! ✊
So right. And we have to stop using the term "the authorities" too and call them what they really are: public servants.
