These Principles and Outcomes actually sound pretty good to me -- much better than what I received when I was in school. The key is "age appropriate," and they state that at the beginning.
Do you have an example of medical genital mutilation being taught in schools? I would be extremely surprised if so. That's a terrible accusation to make of our schools if not true.

In the 6 years of battling with my son's primary and secondary schools, the teachers ALWAYS said what they taught was 'age appropriate'. But what they seem to think is 'age appropriate' is definitely not what I consider age appropriate! You have only to take at look at the materials they use for their PSHE lessons [and click on all the links therein], the books in the school libraries, hear what is said in assemblies and posted on school Instagram accounts, and listen, as I had to, to the headmaster dogmatically insisting that a child's subjective feeling about their identity trumps biological reality...to know that they are not to be trusted to know what reality is, let alone what is age appropriate!
That is wonderful that you were engaged with your son’s education. You definitely know what you’re talking about, then, as far as ‘age appropriate.’ When I was a teacher, I fought bad curricula endlessly. It’s a challenging battle because people all have different ideas about what’s appropriate and important. And then there’s the financial factor of schools purchasing the cheapest materials, which are never the best.
To go off on a tangent in response to a detail near the end of your comment, sex is not the same as gender. That’s why the word ‘transgender’ exists — trans people know that they are not biologically the other sex.
They are all trying to control us as a population. Please please please stand against these absolute idiots. Moorea....
